Sales Specialist - Europe

NuGEN Technologies is looking for a talented individual to join our team as a technical inside Sales Specialist - Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for account management and revenue generation for designated accounts using email and telephone as primary vehicles. The position requires strong sales and communication skills, as well as the technical acumen to successfully share information regarding NuGEN’s products and their applications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing required
  • 3+ years customer facing experience in Life Sciences required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

Role and Responsibilities

  • Engages existing customers within designated accounts to determine ongoing needs and to maintain and grow revenue opportunities
  • Proactively contacts prospective customers within designated accounts to determine product and applications needs; as well as to identify existing and potential customer status regarding NuGEN and competitors’ products
  • Follows up on marketing generated leads for Europe; closes sales on those accounts which are not likely to be large, growing accounts or of a strategic nature
  • Generates new leads via web search and qualifies these leads; closes sales on those accounts which are not likely to be large growing accounts or of a strategic nature
  • Once qualified, identifies accounts which may be more effectively managed by field sales colleagues due to large revenue potential or strategic fit; discusses such accounts with the VP of Sales - International to determine whether they should be assigned to a sales account executive and to determine appropriate timing for doing so
  • Participates in sales, product, and systems training as necessary to develop appropriate inside selling skills
  • Proactively uses CRM system to document and keep track of activities and opportunities
  • Effectively forecasts revenue opportunities within designated accounts
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to Quality Management System (QMS)
