Sales Development Representative

NuGEN Technologies is looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing routine and non-routine customer issues and requests as needed. Follows up with other departments to ensure a consistently high level of customer service is achieved. Will be responsible for identifying and prospecting leads, including qualification and needs assessment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develops a strong understanding of NuGEN's technology and products and continues learning as NuGEN's product portfolio evolves
  • Establishes and executes on strategies for obtaining new customers to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Demonstrates capability to present versatile and unique solutions during customer interactions in order to establish mutually beneficial circumstances for the customer and NuGEN
  • Collaborate with regional sales team and partners to identify and resolve customer challenges
  • Initiates long-term relationships with all levels of customers
  • Has the ability to learn from experience to become more effective in prospecting
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to NuGEN Quality Management System (QMS)


  • B.A. or B.S. in Molecular Biology or similar field
  • Strong understanding of Next Generation Sequencing
  • 2+ years in a life sciences laboratory
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable presenting solutions to highly technical Scientists
  • A demonstrated desire to work within a team selling environment and willingness to provide and seek feedback from teammates
  • Strong desire to win business
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively
